This site is operated for San Angelo Road Lizards monthly challenges.

Data we use

When you authorize Strava, we store your Strava athlete ID, encrypted access and refresh tokens, authorization scope, connection time, and the nickname you choose. Admins may replace an inappropriate nickname with a random anonymous label and lock further nickname changes. After you separately opt in to a monthly challenge, we temporarily read relevant activities and segment efforts daily or when you request it to calculate your result. We also store the aggregate verified loop count, Challenge Points, award descriptions, account role, and persistent SARL membership verification. If you request membership verification, the name you used to register at roadlizards.org is visible only to admins for that review and is never displayed on the leaderboard.

Optional email

Strava does not provide your email address to this site. You may enter one directly so challenge admins can contact you if you win a prize, and separately choose whether to receive weekly leaderboard updates. Your email and weekly-update preference are visible only to challenge admins, are never shown on the leaderboard, and can be changed or cleared from My account.

Monthly choice

Connecting Strava does not automatically enter you in every challenge. Each new monthly challenge requires a separate opt-in. You can leave the current challenge without disconnecting Strava, or remove your entire account at any time.

What participants see

Only connected participants who joined the current challenge can see its live standings. They contain your chosen nickname, Challenge Points, and rank. Each verified Red Arroyo Loop adds one Challenge Point, alongside joining, membership, and club-awarded bonuses. We do not display your Strava name, profile image, activity title, route, location, or individual effort details.

Retention and deletion

Raw activities and segment efforts are not retained. The aggregate challenge snapshot is refreshed daily and never kept beyond seven days without revalidation. You can use My account to immediately leave a challenge or remove your account, delete your stored account and encrypted tokens, and request revocation of Strava access. A Strava deauthorization event also deletes local data.
